From a certain size on, it is not possible to operate successfully without planning. Important questions will arise with the establishment of a planning process. A precise and efficient planning process requires that internal processes are interlocked ideally and that the knowledge can grow.

Many companies need to react to trends the whole year even though planning normally is scheduled once a year. A cheaper management of liquidity, portfolio, labor etc. can be obtained with monthly or quarterly forecast.
